Privacy Policy

Green Zone Grow Shops is operated by Grow Store Brands, Inc., 60 Madison St, Worcester, MA 01608. This policy explains what we collect when you use gzgrowshops.com, shop with us, subscribe to our emails, message us on social media, or use MyRemy, and what we do with it.

What we collect
When you buy something. Your name, shipping and billing address, email address, phone number, and what you ordered. Payment card details are handled by our payment processors through our website platform. We never see or store full card numbers.
When you join our email list. Your email address, and where you signed up from (a popup on our site, our homepage, in the store, or by messaging us on Instagram). We use that source tag only to understand which of our own channels people find us through.
When you message us on Instagram. If you comment a keyword or send us a DM, our automated assistant replies and may ask for your email address so we can send you what you asked for. Your Instagram username and anything you send us in that conversation is visible to us.
When you use MyRemy. MyRemy is our free grow assistant. It runs inside ChatGPT, which is operated by OpenAI. Anything you type or any photo you upload there goes to OpenAI and is handled under OpenAI's terms and privacy policy, not ours. We do not receive a copy of your MyRemy conversations unless you send one to us yourself.
When you browse the site. Our website platform records standard analytics: pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived. Cookies are used for the shopping cart, for keeping you signed in, and for these analytics.
What we do not collect. We do not ask for or store government identification, and we do not buy personal information about you from data brokers.
How we use it
To fill and ship your orders and handle returns. To answer your questions. To send the emails you asked for: our weekly grow lesson, class announcements, and store news. To understand which of our content and channels are working. To keep the site secure and working.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with anyone except the service providers below, who handle it only to do a job for us, and except where the law requires it.
Who we share it with
Our website, store, and payment platform (Wix); our email platform (Mailchimp); our Instagram messaging assistant (ManyChat); OpenAI, if you choose to use MyRemy; and shipping carriers when we send you an order.
YouTube API Services
We publish our video series to our own YouTube channel using an internal tool that uses YouTube API Services. By using YouTube features, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms), and information handled by Google is governed by the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
What our tool actually does: one person, the owner of our channel, signs in with their own Google account so the tool can publish our own finished episodes to our own channel. The tool writes titles, descriptions, chapter markers, tags, subtitle files, thumbnails, and playlist placement, and reads back what it wrote to confirm it saved correctly.
We do not collect, store, or process any personal information about YouTube viewers. We do not use YouTube API Services to gather data about you, to build a profile of you, to track you across sites, or to serve you advertising. The only YouTube data our tool touches is information about our own videos on our own channel.
The only stored credential is an authorization token for our own channel owner's Google account, held on a single company computer so the tool can sign in without a password prompt. It is used for nothing but publishing our episodes.
You can revoke our tool's access to Google data at any time through the Google security settings page at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions, or through Google's account permissions page at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. Doing so affects only the channel owner's own authorization; it has no effect on anyone watching our videos.
How long we keep things
Order records are kept as long as we need them for accounting and tax purposes. Email list entries are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Instagram conversations stay in Instagram as long as the account exists. Analytics are kept in aggregate.
Your choices and your rights
Email. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and it works immediately.
Deletion and access. Email us at joec@gzgrowshops.com and ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We will do it, and we will confirm when it is done. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you are asking us to delete a YouTube-related authorization, you can also revoke it yourself using the Google links above.
Cookies. You can block or clear cookies in your browser. Parts of the shop may stop working if you do.
Massachusetts and other states. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information. Use the same email address above and tell us what you want; we will not charge you for it or treat you differently for asking.
Children
Our site and store are meant for adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top. If the change is significant, we will say so on the site.
