BRAND · THE FAN BAY AND THE AC INFINITY RACK

One controller, every fan in the tent.

AC Infinity makes the inline fans, carbon filters, humidifier and controller that sit in our fan bay and on their own rack by the counter. The pieces plug into one controller, so the tent can react on its own when it gets warm or humid. Here is what each piece does and which one to start with.

How we stock it at Green Zone

AC Infinity has two homes in the store. The Cloudline inline fans and the carbon filters sit in the fan and filter bays, and the Controller 69 Pro and Pro+, pre-filters and the Cloudforge T7 humidifier hang on the AC Infinity rack. Almost everything is boxed, so bring your tent's inside size and the duct size of anything you already own.

We stock AC Infinity because the pieces work together. The fan, the clip fan and the humidifier can all answer to one controller and one sensor, which is the easiest way we know to keep a tent steady while you're at work.

T or S: the one choice that matters

Every Cloudline fan comes in two versions. The S series ships with a simple wired speed dial, ten speeds, and it remembers its setting after a power cut. The T series ships with the Controller 69 Pro built in: a sensor probe reads temperature, humidity and VPD, and the fan speeds up and slows down on its own when those numbers move. An S fan can be upgraded later by plugging it into a separate controller, so the S is the cheaper way in and the T is the one that runs itself.

The lineup

AC Infinity Cloudline T4 and T8

AC Infinity Cloudline T4 and T8

Inline exhaust fan with the Controller 69 Pro built in. AC Infinity rates the 4 inch at 226 CFM and 26 dBA and the 8 inch at 857 CFM and 38 dBA. You can set a minimum speed it always runs at, and it only speeds up when the tent gets warm or humid.

Where it fits: Exhaust for any tent, set and forget

AC Infinity Cloudline S4 and S8

AC Infinity Cloudline S4 and S8

The same fan with a wired ten-speed dial instead of the smart controller. It remembers its setting after a power loss, and it works with any AC Infinity smart controller if you add one later.

Where it fits: Exhaust on a budget, upgrade later

AC Infinity Controller 69 Pro and Pro+

AC Infinity Controller 69 Pro and Pro+

A climate controller with its own sensor probe. The 69 Pro runs up to four AC Infinity devices and the Pro+ runs eight, each with its own program, triggered by temperature, humidity or VPD. It talks to the app over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.

Where it fits: Runs the fan, clip fan and humidifier together

AC Infinity carbon filter, 4 inch

AC Infinity carbon filter, 4 inch

A duct carbon filter rated for 210 CFM, made to keep odors from leaving the tent. It works on intake or exhaust, the flanges reverse to stretch its life, and it comes with two washable pre-filters.

Where it fits: Keeps smells in the tent

AC Infinity Cloudforge T7 humidifier

AC Infinity Cloudforge T7 humidifier

A 15 liter plant humidifier with ten output levels. It can run on its own display with humidity and VPD triggers, or answer to the Controller 69.

Where it fits: Seedlings, clones and dry winter rooms

AC Infinity IONFRAME and IONBOARD LED grow lights

AC Infinity IONFRAME and IONBOARD LED grow lights

LED grow lights that plug into the same AC Infinity controller as the fans, so light, air and humidity run from one app. Ask at the counter which size is on the shelf.

Where it fits: Lights that join the same controller

Pre-filter cloth for the carbon filter is on the rack too. AC Infinity says to put it on the outside of a filter used for intake and the inside for exhaust, and to wash it rather than toss it.

Size the fan before you pick the model

Start with the tent's volume: width times depth times height, in feet, is the airflow that swaps the air once a minute. We like a fan that replaces the tent's air every 1 to 3 minutes once the filter and ducting are on. A carbon filter and long duct runs eat airflow, so AC Infinity tells growers to buy headroom and turn the fan down, never to buy a fan that has to run flat out.

Mount the exhaust high, where the warm air collects, and leave a low opening for fresh air to come in. Our tent airflow page has the full sizing walk-through: Tent airflow.

How it fits your grow, in 3 steps

Step 1. Pick the fan size.

Measure the tent, add the filter, and pick the 4, 6 or 8 inch that clears it with room to spare. Bring the numbers and we'll check it at the counter.

Step 2. Pick T or S.

If nobody is home during the day, the T series earns its price. If you check the tent twice a day and want to spend less now, start with the S and add a controller later.

Step 3. Put the sensor where the plants are.

Hang the probe at canopy height, shaded and out of the fan blast, then change one setting at a time: humidity 3 to 5 points or temperature about 2°F, never both at once. Give it a day before the next change.

Who it's for, and who it's not for

A good fit if

  • You grow in a tent and want the exhaust to react on its own.

  • You want the fan, a clip fan and a humidifier on one controller and one app.

  • You're replacing a loud fan and want a quieter one.

Not the right fit if

  • You need a booster for a long carbon-filter run: AC Infinity's own Raxial booster isn't made for carbon filters, so ask us first.

  • You grow on a windowsill or a single shelf light: a clip fan is all the air you need.

Common mistakes we help people avoid

Buying the fan that matches the tent exactly. Once the filter and duct are on, it can't keep up. Buy one size of headroom and run it slower.

Hanging the sensor in the fan's breeze. The controller reacts to air the plants never feel. Canopy height, shaded, out of the blast.

Chasing temperature and humidity at the same time. Move one, wait, then read the plants.

Forgetting the intake. A strong exhaust with no way for air to get in just sucks the tent walls in.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need the T series, or will the S do?

The S does the job if you check the tent and turn the dial yourself. The T adds the sensor and the automatic speed changes. An S can join a controller later, so you don't lose anything by starting with it.

What's the difference between the 69 Pro and the Pro+?

The number of devices. The Pro runs four and the Pro+ runs eight, with the same sensor, triggers and app.

Which size fan for a 4 by 4 tent?

It depends on the height, the filter and the duct run, so bring those numbers. Our tent airflow page walks through the math: Tent airflow.
